Dr. Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also committed to service and education through her involvement with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, particularly international mission work in the Dominican Republic, and her role as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the SUNY College of Optometry, providing patients with a full spectrum of services from comprehensive eye exams and vision correction to scleral lens fittings, dry eye management, glaucoma care, surgical co-management, and treatment of eye infections and injuries with a clear focus on long-term visual health.
