Dr. Tam earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, then completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and her Doctor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She continued her training with a transitional year internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at Stony Brook Ophthalmology in New York, where she was selected as chief resident, followed by a Cornea, Cataract, External Disease, and Keratorefractive fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In addition to this training, she has contributed to peer-reviewed research in ophthalmology and neuroscience and uses her expertise to care for patients with needs ranging from complex corneal and external eye conditions to cataract and vision correction procedures, always emphasizing clear communication and thoughtful guidance.
